I just read the little red book La Parisienne, signed by Ines de la Fressange, out of stock everywhere.
Ben is cute. We can not say that what we learn there is revolutionary, but reading this kind of small guide in a bath is nice.
It contains mind frivolous and fun of Elle magazine (which I often booed, it's wrong, oops), good places (especially the Left Bank, of course), two to three things that define the style of Paris (the province may also have, eh, no monopoly to lutécienne!).
importantly, the tricks of Parisian style, sophisticated and nonchalant at times, they like, I don doubt it not, for the American love this kind of books "how to look too good French too thin not too sexy too poufs" . A trifle jingoistic, so.
short, nothing but very light then, but which ultimately defines pretty much what the chic Parisian: less is more, for example, is one of my favorite mantras fashion (yes, I mantras fashion). So I like to find that spirit in a small book.
In fact, what I especially liked this book, not as decoration or beauty advice ... I frankly do not care a bit, know that we have to remove makeup before bed, or black towels in the bathroom is claaaaaaasse.
What I liked is that, as a former Parisian expatriate in cicadas, I plunged back into my memories of "youth". And, by reading, I walked the neighborhoods, full of memories students, who are dear to me: the rue d'Assas, Boulevard Saint-Germain, Odéon where I was drinking glasses with my girlfriends on a summer evening, Luxembourg Gardens, where I spent hours reading a book and watching the children and their parents to death looks Rive Gauche (but they have parks great for the dwarves in this corner!), rue des Archives in the Marais, the Nuxe Spa in Montorgueil, Le Bon Marché course, with its Great Ep 'and tearing his haberdashery (John Chou had his studio just opposite the dream) ...
And this walk in my years of recklessness in Paris has always aroused a small pleasant nostalgia ...
And we must say that I like the character of Ines de la Fressange, which I find funny, witty and obviously very classy: extreme simplicity, a navy blue sweater, a tiny jewel, not too much makeup and especially not of botox (by the way, you've already noticed how the front of Nicole Kidman is the size of a plasma screen ?)... I would like to resemble something like this later (well, I will not m'affamer not more, eh). Charm and natural, more puffy lips that way "fish aquarium cleaner.
There. So it was the fashion section / Paris / Fashion shopgirl's Blog You're not used to, eh? A little levity, it feels good sometimes.
Do not worry, this blog does not become primarily a fashion blog, just the idea of posing for photos with your knees back inside as do all bloggers of fashion, it frightens me in advance.
Finally I told myself, especially, by closing this book is that there is no single reason that Ines can publish a book like that.
I suggest something, then: very fast, I am writing a post on the Nice. With all the cool shots from the navel piercing nail art, through the fading bits and permanent makeup.
And more seriously, once accurately described the Nice sarcasm and caricature in all its glory, I will review-essential, of course, on lots of corners, places and activities that I really like here.
Because, as stated in our countries the Cagole Ave emphasis: "I'm honest, I like my manicure.
PS
Ines does not give us the address of the stock Maje in Paris in the fourteenth ... in which I had, adding, spend whole days! I suspect of wanting to keep the address secret ... I understand it, buying dresses or pants Maje super well cut to -70% it's not something we want to fuss made. Hey hey.
